Morph

Convert JPG to PNG

PNG is lossless, so further edits don't add more JPG blur, and many design tools and upload forms prefer it. Morph converts any number of JPGs to PNG at once.

How to do it

  1. Open the files in Morph

On a Mac or Windows PC, start dragging them and tap Shift. On iPhone or Android, share them to Morph or pick them in the app.

  2. Choose PNG

  3. Done

Each PNG lands next to its JPG; the JPGs aren't touched.

Where it works

Free and open source. Everything runs on your device: no uploads, no account, no ads, and your originals are never changed.

Questions

Will PNG look better than the JPG?

It keeps exactly what's in the JPG without losing more, but it can't bring back detail the JPG already lost.

Why is the PNG bigger?

PNG doesn't throw away detail like JPG does, so photos come out larger. For screenshots and graphics the difference is small.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Morph converts on your own device and makes no network requests, so nothing leaves it.
