Convert PNG or JPG to WEBP
WEBP images are usually a third smaller than JPG or PNG at the same look, so pages load faster. The Web Image recipe resizes to 1600 px and converts to WEBP in one step.
How to do it
Open the files in Morph
On a Mac or Windows PC, start dragging them and tap Shift. On iPhone or Android, share them to Morph or pick them in the app.
Choose WEBP
Or use the Web Image recipe to resize and convert at once.
Upload
The WEBP files land next to the originals.
Where it works
- Mac In the download from this site, once the free webp tools are installed (Morph shows the one command).
- Windows Yes.
- iPhone and iPad Not yet: iOS can read WEBP but not write it. Morph makes AVIF or HEIC instead, which are just as small.
- Android Yes.
Free and open source. Everything runs on your device: no uploads, no account, no ads, and your originals are never changed.

Do all browsers show WEBP?
Yes, every current browser does.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Morph converts on your own device and makes no network requests, so nothing leaves it.
